Role and responsibilities:
Deliver a competitive publishing programme (English, Mathematics, Science, etc) within budget according to the agreed dates.
Manage a team of development editors and ensure the scope and processes for development editorial work and guidelines for levels of editing are adhered to.
Determine and manage standards and quality of development editing for all projects.
Lead as the Product Owner for key projects, where relevant.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—from commissioning to digital and professional development departments—to deliver integrated, end-to-end publishing solutions.
Work with Marketing on promotional events.
Handle complex and sensitive stakeholder relationships.
Preferably, identify and develop a pool of reliable and consistent third-party packagers.
Pre-requisites:
This job will be based in Singapore.
Minimum 8 years’ editorial experience in educational publishing with at least 5 years in publishing management.
Market-oriented with a proven track record in developing a successful K-12 list.
Excellent leadership skills with the capability to handle strong personalities
Ability to bring about and manage change, including being comfortable with the need to develop and implement standards and processes
Candidates with knowledge of the Singapore education system will have an advantage.
Candidates must be comfortable developing technology products.
Candidates with more extensive experience and a strong track record may be considered for the Senior Team Lead, Editorial position.
