This position is responsible for APAC entities’ tax compliance, tax provisions, direct/indirect taxes, tax controversy, transfer pricing, as well as development and implementation of process and control procedures and leading strategic projects which support wider business growth within the region. This position will also interact with key finance, accounting, and other business partners across SHEIN. You should be someone who likes to take on challenges at work, is self-motivated and can work independently. In a fast-paced environment like ours, priorities can often change, so this role includes but is not limited to the tasks listed below.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for APAC corporate tax, transfer pricing, GST/VAT, withholding tax and other compliance work.
• Provide tax advisory support and direction to internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Business, Accounting, Legal, Treasury and other functions to communicate, execute and protect various tax and non-tax initiatives.
• Support local, regional, and international tax projects.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional business teams for development and implementation of key strategic business changes, routes to market and reorganisations.
• Work in cross-border teams to implement and improve tax controls, policies, and processes.
• Any other work assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting/Finance/related fields.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant tax experience for APAC or international tax.
• Possesses robust tax technical knowledge, having more than just corporate tax knowledge (e.g., transfer pricing, GST/VAT, withholding tax, tax planning, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience handling tax matters in a commercial environment.
• Familiarity with e-commerce, supply chain, and fashion industry is a plus.
• Great team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Adaptable, proactive, independent, willing to learn and resilient.
• Strong work ethics, professionalism, and integrity.
• Able to establish relationships with diverse stakeholders across different cultures.
• Good analytical and lateral thinking skills.
• Motivated by challenges and a sense of adding value for others.
