Tax Director

Managing Consultant, Finance & Accounting

My client is a rapidly growing corporate services firm in Singapore. They are currently expanding their team and are looking for a Tax Director to join their Tax & Accounting Advisory team. This role will be key in providing both corporate and individual clients with expert tax advisory, compliance, and risk management services, while leading a talented team of tax professionals.

The position involves working on high-level tax strategy, optimising tax positions for clients, managing tax audits, and overseeing complex cross-border tax matters. Additionally, you'll play a key role in fostering client relationships and contributing to business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage tax advisory services for corporate and individual clients, specialising in tax optimisation, planning, and risk management.
2. Advise on complex areas such as corporate structuring, M&A, cross-border tax planning, and tax incentives.
3. Oversee tax compliance, including corporate income tax and individual returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings for clients across various industries.
4. Manage and advise clients on tax audits, liaising with tax authorities and resolving disputes when necessary.
5. Lead a high-performing tax team, fostering development, improving processes, and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.
6. Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service.
7. Provide expertise in international tax issues, including transfer pricing, cross-border structuring, and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in tax advisory and compliance, with a proven track record in managing corporate and individual tax matters.
• In-depth knowledge of Singapore tax laws and regulations, with expertise in corporate tax, individual income tax, and tax reporting.
• Strong experience in advisory services related to mergers and acquisitions and cross-border tax planning.
• Proficiency in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality, tailored tax solutions.
