General Accountability:

As a Talent Acquisition Partner at AEM, you will be at the heart of our recruitment efforts, ensuring that we deliver best in class talent attraction, recruitment and onboarding initiatives. The pivotal role will develop relationships with candidates and through the combination of talent acquisition and business development, continue the growth of an established recruitment desk. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will shape our workforce, enhance our team and capability, and ensure a positive experience for both talents and hiring managers.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Execute a streamlined end-to-end talent acquisition process including talent sourcing and pipelining, screening, interviewing, and reference checking to provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Proactively consult with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and recommend talent attraction and selection strategies.
  • Proactively maintain a candidate database and develop initiatives to maintain relationships with highly skilled candidates.
  • Build strategic relationships with external stakeholders to grow the talent pipeline (e.g., participate in job fairs and collaborate with institutes of higher learning).
  • Develop behavioral and technical interview scripts in collaboration with internal key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure position descriptions are up to date.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance AEM’s employer brand.

Requirements & Competencies:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant business-related discipline.

Experience & Skills:

  • Possess five (5) years of specialized talent acquisition experience.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers with a consultative approach.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with specific experience in drafting job advertisements.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of equity and inclusion principles and practices.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Proficient in using job portals and LinkedIn as recruitment tools.
