Job description

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related subject with at least 10 years of working experience in IT projects.
  • Experience in large scale system integration environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding and good knowledge in IT system infrastructure solutions.
  • Conversant in multiple system products and solutions including server, database, storage, virtualization / cloud infrastructure, backup solutions, automation etc.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in
    • Windows Server OS, Linux OS in a virtual environment
    • Virtualisation and Hypervisors including Nutanix
    • VPN, firewall appliances
    • Load balancers, network switches/routers
    • Network Monitoring (e.g. Solarwinds products)
    • Data Protection (e.g. Veritas)
    • Vulnerability Assessment (e.g. Nessus)
    • Identify and Access Management (e.g. CyberArk)
  • Certification in any of the above products are advantageous. Example: Dell EMC Certified Professional, Microsoft Certification, Redhat, VMWare, HCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Professional (GCP), Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), Redhat Ansible, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer interface skills, and engage with partners, stakeholders and team members.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects.
  • Work with system architect and pre-sales team to implement IT/OT systems and network infrastructure solutions in on-premise, cloud/GCC or hybrid environments and be able to articulate and document the solution.
  • Work, liaise and lead inter-disciplinary technical team and stakeholders to design, implement and verify solutions to meet project requirements for performance, availability, resilience, security, manageability, maintainability and compliance.
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities of technical engineers in a project to ensure all are actively working toward established milestones and ensure work is completed on time.
  • Attend customer meetings, report regularly on progress and monitor project schedule.
  • Liaise with customers/consultants/project managers concerning approval of designs, reviews, progress of work, problem solving, etc.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis.
  • Collaborate with respective key vendors/partners to design and review the proposed solution architecture in accordance with standards and policies.
  • Resolve any technical difficulties and other problems that may arise in the project.
