Systems Engineer (AV Engineer)

As a Systems Engineer (AV Systems), you will be responsible for managing and implementing large-scale AV projects with quality, within scope, and ensuring deliverables are on time and conform to processes and standards meeting customer requirements.

What will you do?

1. Perform onsite fault diagnosis and coordinate with product suppliers to resolve technical product issues related to video conferencing and audio-visual integrated solutions.
2. Perform L1, L2 & L3 onsite and offsite troubleshooting for information technology, audio-visual integrated solutions, and video conferencing, liaising with manufacturers for return merchandise authorizations (RMA).
3. Update stakeholders on troubleshooting status and prepare for setting up events, conference meetings, etc.
4. Support pre-sale work such as conducting site surveys, preparing Bill of Material (BOM), diagrams, etc.
5. Escalate technical issues to the internal team and/or the manufacturer when the complexity of issues exceeds team capacity.
6. Setup and support Audio Visual & Video Conference Systems, collaborating with stakeholders for events, meetings, and conferences.
7. Prepare and submit necessary documents and manuals such as Preventive Maintenance Checklists, Bill of Material (BOM), User Acceptance Test (UAT), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), and Functional Design Specification (FDS).
8. Prepare and submit necessary documents such as Service Reports, Monthly Reports, Inventory Reports, etc.
9. Provide 24/7 on-site & off-site standby according to SL.

The ideal candidate should possess:

1. ITE or Diploma in Engineering/IT/Computer Science.
2. At least 2 years of relevant experience.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Experience with at least two systems/manufacturers such as Extron AV, Kramer AV, Crestron AV, Cisco collaboration, Cisco Switches, Server, Virtual Machine (VM), etc.
5. Basic knowledge of Information Technology (IT) (e.g., computer, server switches, etc).
6. Basic knowledge of video equipment (e.g., Television, Projector, etc.), video cables, and connectors (e.g., HDMI Cable, VGA cable, SDI cable, etc).
