System Operations Manager

Leading the System Operations team, you will be required to efficiently oversee the entire operations of system operations team, negotiate contract, dispute settlement & loss control. You will also be required to do berth planning to optimise jetty occupancy and throughput.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand the product to be transported or handled, generate nomination for loading / discharge operations and follow through the actual operations.
2. Study the operation nomination and discuss berthing sequence with tank leasee, accept / reject nominations.
3. Compute laytime calculation / demurrage if any.
4. Keep track on the operations throughput and tank turns, update management on operations issue & resolution.
5. Timely update of loading / discharging operations with respect to quality / quantity.
6. Attend to audit and assist to provide data required and closing of findings.
7. Assist in investigation in dispute in quantity or product received or loaded.
8. Compute fees including inspection, insurance, port and freight.
9. Generate reports for submission to Singapore Customs and MPA.
10. Monitor and track leasee inventory bookstock and liaise with terminal on leasee request in tankage operations.
11. Review reports for submission to Singapore Customs & MPA.
12. Liaise with Singapore customs on the bonded warehouse and license with warehouse renewal.
13. Liaise with on-site auditors and lead the audits.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Engineering / Maritime / Business.
2. At least 3 years of experience in terminal operations and / or shipping operations.
3. Experience in contract review and negotiation, managing external counter-parties and terminal schedules.
4. Experience in contract and LC preparation, managing external counter-parties and terminal schedules, dispute / commercial settlement and loss control.
5. Possess good interpersonal skills and team player.
6. Self-motivated, independent worker, organised and systematic.
7. Able to manage cross-functional team and external counter-parties.
8. Good with numbers and eye for details.
