System Engineer (Marine system | 2days WFH | Upto $6000)

Responsibilities

• Possess extensive knowledge and experience in engineering design of telecommunication, safety & security, and marine navigation systems covering technologies such as IP Infrastructure, WIFI WLAN, Firewall security, IP-PABX, PAGA, CCTV, VCS, TETRA/DMR UHF/VHF Radio, GMDSS Radio, GEO/MEO/LEO VSAT, IPTV, Radar, Gyrocompass, etc.
• Provide engineering design, technical configuration, proof of concept, as well as drawing instruction of various telecom systems.
• Produce engineering documents (VDRL), scratch drawings, and guide the AUTOCAD drafter to come up with the engineering drawing deliverables.
• Provide guidance to the in-house technician for equipment assembly and cabinet integration, as well as execute tasks related to system configuration, simulation, testing, and verification.
• Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) for the client, and deliver in-house training to both the client and the commissioning engineer.

Requirements

• Minimum diploma in telecom or equivalent technical discipline.
• 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the industrial markets.
• Good to have the ability to use various coverage tools such as CadnaA for PAGA, Ekahau for WIFI coverage, iBwave for UHF/GSM coverage.
• Good to have site commissioning/radio surveying experience as per SOLAS/MODU will be added advantages.
