Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The role involves working with various technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives. The System Engineer will play a key role in troubleshooting issues, managing system upgrades, and ensuring the seamless operation of systems and applications.
Responsible for technical and administration activities for IT infrastructure which will include deployment, configuring, maintenance, upgrading and migration of critical infrastructure such as servers, workstations and system/network equipment.
Support and recommend system IT policies, standard operating procedures and capacity planning for customers.
Perform proactive Level 2 technical support to troubleshoot IT hardware and enterprise software to resolve and restore services on customers' system/network IT infrastructure.
Work with the technical team, vendors or individually to deliver onsite job tasks and projects in accordance with work scope.
Perform standard switch and router configuration, firewall configuration, and standard hardening protocols according to industry standards.
Design and implement system architectures that meet the organization's needs and objectives. Develop and deploy new systems and applications, including servers, networks, and storage solutions. Configure and optimize system settings to ensure high performance and reliability.
Monitor and maintain system performance, including server uptime, network connectivity, and application functionality. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and stability. Provide technical support and troubleshoot system issues to resolve problems promptly.
Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and other threats. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. Prepare and present reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities. Document and communicate system issues, resolutions, and improvements to stakeholders.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with the following is an added value:
Security and Surveillance Systems
Frontend, Sensors, Private Network, VPN, IT & Cyber Security, Device Management Software, and Backend
Knowledge of Windows OS, Linux, and FortiOS preferred (for System Engineers)
Having own transportation or possess Class 3 license will be an advantage
CCNA/CCNP preferred (for System Engineers)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Independent and strong team player with good organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
