System Engineer (Central)

Responsibilities :

1. Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
2. Provide support and administration for Windows servers, including updates, patch management, and troubleshooting.
3. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, configure, and manage server infrastructure.
5. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
6. Perform regular system audits, backups, and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
7. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
8. Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices for Linux and Windows server management.
9. Provide technical support for end-users and resolve any system-related issues.
10. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed.

Requirements :

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in Linux system administration, with strong knowledge of various Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
3. Hands-on experience with Windows server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and server management tools.
4. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system management.
5. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is added advantage.
