Responsibilities

1. Define and deliver program initiatives and achieve business outcomes across multiple Compliance domain areas as per established timeline
2. Develop business cases and manage program financials within approved budget
3. Prioritize program backlogs/requests by balancing regulatory, audit and business priorities, squad capacity, to ensure all committed timelines will be met
4. Identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues arising from program execution using agile way of working
5. Effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross-geography stakeholders, including regulators/auditors, and accurately communicate program progress and challenges
6. Manage program and product roadmap, business case, and user requirements across multiple solutions and domain areas, including but not limited to, surveillance, analytics and regulatory reporting
7. Collaborate with business users to define user journeys and associated business processes
8. Conduct gap analysis between business requirements (including regulatory expectations) vis-a-vis solution landscape and platform strategy
9. Document detailed business requirements/epics/user stories by liaising with business users/business analysts including the acceptance criteria
10. Define program roadmap and prioritize program backlogs/requests by balancing regulatory, audit and business priorities, and squad capacity to ensure all committed timelines will be met
11. Evaluate solutions proposed by technology or analytics team/vendors for specific epics /user stories to ensure best practices are followed
12. Build business case and project recommendations as appropriate, to draw down the budget and set up financial tracking
13. Conduct market research and analyse trends including RFP/setting up proof of concepts to ensure the product vision/roadmap is aligned with industry developments and our future needs
14. Manage key stakeholders, including regulators/auditors, and business and technology leads
15. Manage and communicate effectively with domain leads at senior level and working level teams in a timely and clear manner
16. Responsible for ensuring project steering committee meetings, platform governance, cross functional, and other periodic project meetings are effective and achieve objectives in a consistent manner
17. Drive program execution and delivery
18. Monitor and ensure that program/project execute flawlessly, on schedule, and without compromising quality
19. Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the program
20. Resolve issues and conflicts within the program, projects and project management community and with other stakeholders, if necessary
21. Ensure resolution of issues at program or line level and escalate issues which cannot be resolved in a timely and accurate manner
22. Have oversight of major production issues or remediation or resolution of data gaps within the scope of program
23. Manage coordination across teams and other platforms by keeping transparency in the A/B /C type of work so that delivery can effectively be managed, including critical areas:
1. Ensure project dependencies on other projects /platforms are on their roadmaps and resources will be available when your teams need them
2. Ensure work other teams need from your team/s are included and prioritised appropriately in your teams work backlog
3. Highlight capability gaps to respective team/tribe/ function leads
24. Oversee User Acceptance Tests and Implementation
25. Manage user acceptance tests, including execution of test cases as necessary, develop rollout plan and oversee implementation/live-verification activities
26. Conduct end user training where necessary
27. Ensure smooth rollout of projects, complete pre and post-implementation activities in close coordination with scrum master
28. Work closely with Technology/Operations/Business teams to resolve any implementation issues and any post-implementation stabilisation work
29. Change management
30. Adopt agile methodology across squads in the program and implement any DBS Platform Transformation milestones
31. Ensure utilization of standards and practices across all projects
32. Work with business and support unit users to drive changes to facilitate successful implementation and faster realization of benefits

Requirements

1. Minimum 12 years of experience managing projects/products in the financial industry, regulatory compliance and/or financial crime prevention domain
2. Minimum educational qualification of degree holder in any related field
3. At least 3 years of experience in Agile project management/software development including partnering with Technology and Business users to deliver the outcomes
4. Experience in engaging with regulators, auditors, senior stakeholders and solution providers/vendors, showcasing solid relationship-building, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
5. Solid knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, Conduct Surveillance, Financial Crime, or KYC/CDD domains and business processes; any working experience in regulatory reporting and surveillance systems is strongly preferred
6. Experience and/or knowledge in analytics and artificial intelligence / machine learning models will be an asset
7. Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills; can be relied upon to make concise decisions
8. Ability to multi-task with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills
9. Ability to own and be hands on in the management of tasks
10. Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, and collaborating with different teams/team members
11. Ability to deal with people at all levels and work well in a fast-paced/high-energy environment by managing individual workloads
12. Self-motivated with positive and can-do attitude; comfortable in situations where things are ambiguous/fluid or priorities can be changing
13. Proven track record of leading projects to meet stipulated timelines with expected outcomes and quality. Work in transformation programs will be an asset
14. Strong background in business analysis and/or root cause analysis, ideally in the Financial Services industry/Retail Banking
15. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and Project Management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Octane)
16. Project Management and/or Business Analyst certification is preferred
