Supply Chain / Procurement Engineer (Maintenance Industry)

Job Scope:

• Responsible for sourcing direct/indirect materials.
• Vendor management and negotiating for the best price and payment terms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors on planning and initiation of necessary procurement.
• Liaison with vendors for timely delivery and monitor all purchases to avoid any shortages, overcharges, and defects of materials.
• Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues.
• Assist in implementing internal procurement strategies.
• Prepare, develop, and review department contracts for new and existing suppliers, and constantly monitor the validity and expiry of each contract.
• Prepare and develop various documentation (e.g., Tender, SOPs, Work Instructions, Reports, etc.) and monitor the validity and expiry of each documentation.
• Assist as the System Administrator for the section’s Maintenance Management System (MMS).
• Monitor and track Asset Life Cycle and plan asset renewal and/or disposal.
• Support budgetary planning and costing.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Supply Chain / Business Administration or related discipline.
• Possess 1 – 3 years of relevant working experience in Asset Management / Supply Chain Management / Procurement / Logistics / Warehousing.
• No experience required and training will be provided.
• Prior experience from the equipment maintenance industry or with experience in electrical spare parts is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, Maximo, Oracle) is advantageous.
• Able to work well independently and in a team under a challenging and fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
