About the Job:
The Supply Chain Process Engineer leads the implementation of best-in-class Logistics and Warehousing capabilities for Singapore market, to transform the local supply chain for better agility, ultimate luxury service, cost and cash efficiencies and sustainability, leveraging digitalization and automation. The role spans across internal three divisions – Beauty, Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewelry. You will work closely with various departments such as retail operations, technology, information systems, sustainability as well as global and regional supply chain experts to implement the best solutions to market, while ensuring upskilling of existing organization. The process engineer plays a critical role to transform the supply chain and bring a competitive advantage to Chanel.
What impact you can create at Chanel
Lead discussions for all topics related to warehousing and transportation transformation, while proposing to the Head of Supply Chain final process improvements and decisions to be made:
Order Management: Establish strategies and implement plans to move to a touchless order management flow – from order acquisition to order processing and to order release to warehousing operations for pick and pack.
Warehouse operations: Define strategies to implement best-in-class operations for the warehousing team, looking at opportunities to implement automation solutions in the areas of receiving, stock counting, picking, packing and/or shipping. Be the project leader for implementation of the strategies, in a way that lead times to customers are reduced and team’s productivity is increased.
Inventory management: Upgrade inventory management processes to cover all domain of inventories – selling items, visual merchandising items and all non-selling stocks. Lead the alignment with the business teams on what success looks like and define and implement new governance processes to make breakthrough improvement in inventory holdings. Implement inventory forecasting and warehouse capacity planning to improve business plans and business continuity. In driving alignment with business teams, Head of Supply Chain should be consulted and will need to sign off on final process. This role will need to propose options for the business teams and Head of Supply Chain to consider.
Transportation management: Redesign transportation management with better work integration with transportation companies and better efficiency for the team.
Streamline work processes: Lead the transformation to a fully digital organization, with objectives to streamline work processes and complete elimination of low added-value tasks with improved lead time, better compliance to global policies and better productivity. This includes deployment of new IT solutions and/or development of no/low code solutions for the team.
Digital Twin: Upon completion of foundation layer of digitalization, lead the implementation of a warehousing and transportation digital twin, creating a virtual model of the existing operation and enabling advanced analytics, scenario planning and cost and inventory optimizations.
Continuously keep abreast of and advise management regarding changes or latest trends in warehouse and transportation management practices.
Any other related ad-hoc projects: global or regional supply chain project, e.g. related to sustainability improvement, operating system change, data & analytics requirements for supply chain team.

What you will bring
Minimum 5 years’ experience in driving breakthrough in supply chain management, such as warehousing, logistics or supply chain transformation.
Qualifications in Supply Chain Management or related engineering field. Additional qualifications/certificates in Project Management and/or digital tools are preferred.
Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent digital skills – M365, Power BI or other BI Tools, RPA and no/low code solutions.
