Job description

As the Supply Chain Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the supply chain process, ensuring efficient and effective planning, distribution, and returns of products. You will work closely with the procurement and commercial team to drive supply and demand management to optimize inventory turnover. You will also manage the end-to-end logistics and warehousing to ensure operational excellence with continuous optimization of cost.

Duties & Responsibilities

Supply & Demand:

  • Establish and drive demand management process with cross-functional teams to continuously improve forecast accuracy and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Lead and drive healthy inventory with commercial and retail teams to boost sales and reduce stock obsolescence.
  • Manage end-to-end demand and supply planning activities to reduce lead time, variability, and disruption in the end-to-end Supply Chain.
  • Collaborate with commercial, retail, and finance leaders to understand business needs and requirements to support business growth.
  • Oversee sales support team to improve operational processes for non-retail sales and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support new countries (e.g., Indonesia) on stock imports from Singapore and liaise on documentation, shipping timelines, and vendor communication.
  • Lead initiatives to achieve optimal inventory turnover to reduce working capital requirements and external warehousing costs.
Logistics & Warehouse:

  • Plan, direct, and control all inbound to outbound logistics operations, from receiving, picking, transportation, and warehouse to distribution.
  • Liaise with logistics service providers/forwarders and vendors/suppliers on delivery dates and delivery modes.
  • Manage and measure import/export logistics and operation flow to drive continuous improvement for cost/quality and achieve supply agility and stability.
  • Ensure smooth operation of import & export, ensuring compliance with importing/exporting regulations in different markets.
  • Oversee Warehouse Manager in warehouse management (operations, storage & capacity) to support retail, e-commerce wholesale, corporate, and export sales.
  • Ensure stock/inventory accuracy including enforcing cycle count/stock checks and investigation on stock discrepancies.
  • Set up standards and processes to ensure products are stored, handled, and distributed to customers and retail outlets, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Establish KPIs to effectively manage and measure the performance of logistics and warehouse operations to ensure operational excellence with continuous cost optimization.
Inventory Management & Audit:

  • Oversee Inventory Team on accurate inventory processing including timely month-end closing and manage inventory costing including landed cost input.
  • Develop and execute inventory policies to ensure stock availability, optimize inventory turnover, and minimize inventory obsolescence.
  • Manage and improve defective/product claims processing to reduce lead time and manage customer expectations.
  • Lead stock audits (for warehouse & outlets) and processes to ensure stock integrity including investigation on stock discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory processing reports to monitor performance and detect irregularities.
Budget Management & Performance Monitoring:

  • Take ownership of the P&L and budget for all non-retail sales initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor business development activities against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on business development initiatives, successes, and challenges.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage and coach team managers and members in day-to-day tasks and execution and build a talent pipeline for regional growth.
  • Work closely with other Heads of Departments, promoting creativity and collaboration. Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall company goals.
Operation Systems & Processes:

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain workflows and monitor adherence to SOPs.
  • Lead and implement new SOPs and systems to elevate work processes and efficiency.
  • Conduct process performance monitoring, reporting, analysis, and work closely with related departments to ensure efficiency.
Requirement:

  • Degree holder, preferably graduated in supply chain management or related disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably from an FMCG environment, with 3 years or above in a managerial capacity preferred.
  • Familiar with WMS, X-Enterprise, and experienced with Oracle Enterprise systems.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Good business acumen to optimize supply chain value-chain to deliver business goals.
  • Process-oriented and passionate about problem-solving and willing to challenge the norm to drive positive changes.
