Supply Chain Director

Job Description:

Our client is a premier provider of integrated logistics and supply chain solutions, serving clients across industries such as retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, and healthcare. The Supply Chain Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the entire supply chain function. This includes procurement, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and demand planning. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, cost optimization, and scalability, ensuring service excellence and alignment with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports the company’s growth and operational objectives.
• Lead end-to-end supply chain functions including procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, distribution, and demand planning.
• Identify and implement technologies and process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and visibility.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Lead efforts to streamline operations, reduce costs, and mitigate risks across the supply chain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and operations teams to align supply chain strategies with broader business needs.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing supply chain and logistics team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to future supply chain leaders within the organization.
• Leverage data analytics to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and improve decision-making.
• Monitor key metrics (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute supply chain risk management plans to ensure business continuity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain or logistics leadership roles, preferably in large-scale or multinational environments.
• Proven track record of driving cost savings, process improvement, and operational excellence.
• Deep understanding of supply chain technologies (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS, data analytics platforms).
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
