Overview

We are seeking a Refinery, Petrochemicals Supply Chain and Logistics Specialist to join the LTC Program Development.

Your primary role will be responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy for one or more integrated refinery and petrochemical complexes.

Responsibilities

  • Review plans/deliverables for new integrated refinery and petrochemical projects to ensure compliance with Company Standards and Regulations as well as industry codes related to supply chain management and logistics.
  • Develop philosophies for OSBL/ISBL interconnecting pipelines for products and feedstocks from marine to the refinery and petrochemical facilities and vice versa including feedstock cross-country pipelines (e.g., Ethane, Crude, etc.).
  • Participate in prefeasibility/feasibility studies as well as pre-FEED/FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phases for refinery and petrochemical projects.
  • Develop, review, and analyze engineering documents related to supply chain and logistics for refineries and petrochemical complexes.
  • Develop and negotiate 3rd party Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements, supply agreements, joint development agreements, and other commercial aspects for supply chain systems.
  • Define marine berths, jetties, terminals, polymers logistic systems, warehouses, storage tankage, and transportation requirements to support multiple projects.
  • Participate in market studies to understand market supply and demand for targeted projects produced from the facilities.
  • Collect and interpret analytical and performance data to determine supply chain KPIs.
  • Lead and implement work processes, integrated management systems, and operations improvement programs.
  • Identify, assess and optimize material flow and risk trade-offs across the supply chain.
  • Lead development of supply chain strategy, including customer/product mix analysis, channels-to-market, capital investment, and sourcing decisions.
  • Test supply chain design scenarios, process variability and trade-offs through simulation modelling techniques.
  • Develop timelines, track, and drive 3rd party contractors towards successful completion of projects.
  • Work with projects team, finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors for sourcing raw materials and supply chain elements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Engineering discipline from a recognized program; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15 years’ experience in the refining and petrochemical industry.
  • Knowledge in refining and petrochemical processes and their associated supply chain systems.
  • Strong knowledge on supply chain operation and management in refineries and petrochemical complexes.
  • Experience in participating in prefeasibility/feasibility studies as well as pre-FEED/FEEDs.
  • Experience in commercial negotiations and projects development for 3rd party business models.
  • Knowledge on the market supply and demand of major refined products and petrochemical products.
