Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Prepares key project documentation including purchase specifications for structural items.
Develops drawings, design basis, design report, and other engineering documentation by utilizing engineering common network, software, and tools for hull structure basic design and detail design.
Develops and/or reviews structural calculation report, FEM analysis report.
Coordinates with external design house, client, classification/certificate verification authority on technical issues and design solutions in the awarded project.
Coordinates internally with other departments, i.e., construction engineering, QA, production, procurement team on technical queries, clarifications, site queries.
Coordinates internally with other engineering disciplines to develop layout drawings, penetrations, and reinforcements, resolving interference problems, etc.
Participates in project meetings, attends to basic technical queries and issues related to basic structural design, and reviews design deliverables on project facilities, fabrication, transportation, and installation.
Liaises with owners, statutory, and classification authorities for design compliance review and approval on the proposed project plans in meeting project requirements.
Generates reports on work progress and submits to senior team members for review and approval before submitting to owners, statutory, and classification authorities for approval, and maintains project database for future references.
Performs studies on a new range of offshore substations and generates analysis on the basic structure design.
Performs analysis on the main structure by generating design stress analysis to ensure design adequacy of structural members and details in the main foundational framework.
Provides support to production during the project construction phase, prepares lifting padeye drawings for major block lifting, and performs lifting analysis.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in related Engineering Disciplines.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Team-oriented and has high initiative.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work at height and/or in confined spaces.
