The Strategic Planning function supports the Chairman and CEO to develop and implement the company’s business strategies so that business units achieve their objectives and key results. The role spans all aspects of business operations with key oversight accountability over driving results across the following areas:
Business Planning and Management
Support the Chairman and CEO in all aspects of running the business
Assist with coordinating key decision forums including agenda formulation, submission and review of papers, note taking and especially follow up on key actions
Ensure effective communication of key messages to the relevant team members
Track performance, development, and implementation of business-critical issues
Drive regular business reviews, conduct proactive data analysis on all metrics, including monthly targets, financials, budgets, staff, audit reports, etc
Provide business management, coordination, and project management support for the CEO
Strategy
Assist with strategic planning including the development and production of strategic plans, associated research, analysis, and presentation
Ensure that design and delivery of initiatives are consistent with the agreed business & functional strategies
Engage with relevant internal & external stakeholders (including the Government) to ensure all change initiatives are fit for purpose in delivering the business mission
Processes
Lead, develop, implement, and track business initiatives and projects as directed by the Chairman and CEO
Liaise with other members of the leadership team and business colleagues to ensure delivery of key objectives for the CEO
Continuously improve business management efficiency by simplifying and standardizing operational processes and procedures. Identify and implement best practices in resources and processes, ensuring consistency and relevancy
Governance
Prepare reports, presentations, papers, and review material to support discussions and decision making to the Board and other key stakeholders
Coordinate and support business engagements with partners and external parties (e.g. consultants, vendors, auditors, regulators, clients, and media/publications)
Coordinate business interactions with stakeholders as required on behalf of the CEO
