Strategic Planning Analyst/Senior Analyst - Shopee, Regional BI & Planning

About The Team

Strategic Planning and Analytics team supports Group President and the rest of the Top Leadership’s initiatives across Shopee, Consumer Lending and Digital Banking businesses by closely collaborating with Regional and Local teams on a variety of topics covering two major streams:

1. Regular Top Leadership analytical support for key meetings like Management Board and Board of Directors.
2. Adhoc projects covering key topics like marketing spend efficiency, monetization improvements, new opportunity assessment, etc.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a core member of our E-commerce team to contribute to the following work:

1. Conduct project-based deep-dives into key aspects of Shopee business covering topics like monetization and spend efficiency improvements, focusing on financial and data analytics.
2. Coordinate insights / run joint projects with relevant Business teams to identify new opportunities / drive measurable improvements in Shopee performance.
3. Prepare executive-level materials for Group President and Leadership team as part of both regular analytical support and key project updates.

Requirements

1. Candidates with 1 to 4 years of full-time experience in consulting, other professional and financial services, e-commerce or any related field are welcome to apply.
2. Proven track record in complex problem solving using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques and genuine curiosity to get to the root causes of problems is a must.
3. Proficiency in one or several analytical tools like MS Excel, Alteryx, Python, SQL, etc.
4. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapid change.
5. Strong communication and process management skills – or willingness to improve them in a dynamic environment.
