Job Responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for the commercial management of a store, maximizing sales and minimizing losses.
Lead and motivate the store team, developing and improving all staff to reach and maintain a high level of customer service and selling skills.
Ensure store operation standards are adhered to by all store staff.
Conduct daily briefings to staff on sales targets.
Maintain daily housekeeping standards.
Manage complaint cases whenever necessary.
Provide training and coaching to the team.
Be an effective member of the management team, contributing to the setting, monitoring, and achieving of targets and objectives for the store.
Proactively develop the business.
Manage staff, merchandise, and space to ensure the highest standards of sales floor operation.
Review store transactions daily to detect and prevent any irregular and suspicious transactions.
Monitor and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures to make sound business decisions and communicate/educate all staff.
Responsible for roster planning to ensure sufficient manpower at all times.
Set priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; develop plans to meet short-term objectives.
Communicate with the Visual team and/or oversee physical site maintenance.
Assist in other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
5 years of working experience in sales and distribution of branded merchandise in a retail environment, leading a large team, preferably in Sports and/or lifestyle chain stores.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Results-oriented with a strong understanding of day-to-day in-store operations.
Energetic and self-motivated individuals highly preferred.
Degree/Diploma in Business Management or equivalent.
