Preparing and assisting doctor with administering anesthesia.
Monitor patients’ vital signs during medical procedures.
Assist doctor and perform all procedures in an appropriate manner, while observing all principles of asepsis and sterility.
Performing circulating and shuttling nursing duties as assigned.
Maintain expertise in the operation, care and maintenance of all equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
Prepare and verify that anesthesia equipment is functioning for use in an organized and logical manner for any multi-disciplinary procedures.
At all times, ensure that both operating room and equipment are maintained in a permanent state of readiness.
Maintain and update the quality records according to the standard guidelines on identification, filing, storage, maintenance and disposition of these records where applicable.
Maintain and highlight to Nurse Manager/Dr-In-Charge any feedback and issues on medical equipment.
Manage and update stock records for medications stored within the clinic. Monitor par level of drugs, medicines, supplies and stationery and replenish stocks.
Support the clinic on nursing duties supporting GP, and O&G services.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
At least 2 years’ experience in patient care in the hospital or clinic setting, preferably with experiences in AU as anesthesia nurse.
