As a Staff Nurse - Palliative Care, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide basic care, including monitoring and recording vital signs, maintaining patient hygiene, and assisting with daily activities such as dressing and eating.

• Assess patients’ conditions and implement appropriate nursing care plans.

• Perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing and management, stitch removal, venepuncture, urinary catheter changes, and more.

• Ensure continuity and consistency in treatment plans for patients.

• Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and medications administered.

• Communicate regularly with the patient's primary care provider regarding their care.

• Offer professional comfort and support to both patients and their families.

• Explain patients’ conditions and symptoms, address their concerns, and facilitate communication between the patient and their family.

• Adhere to medical regulations and uphold the ethical standards of medical practice.

• Foster a caring and empathetic environment for patients.

• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician.

• Monitor and manage pain levels for patients at the end of life, offering relief through medications and/or therapies.

• Take steps to alleviate symptoms such as nausea, anxiety, and bedsores.

• Support patients emotionally through end-of-life experiences, providing guidance when family members are unavailable.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Nursing and be registered with Singapore Nursing Board.

• Candidate who possesses Advanced Diploma in Gerontology or Palliative care is an advantage.
