Job Title: Staff Nurse

Overview
You will be responsible to provide personalized, specialised and cost-effective care to the patients in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, standards of nursing care and practices.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assesses patients’ needs on admission and on daily basis throughout their hospital stay
2. Plans and implements care according to the assessed needs
3. Evaluates and monitors patients’ progress according to planned care
4. Documents care given and monitors outcomes on the established charts and forms
5. Delivers safe and competent nursing care
6. Participates actively in physicians’ rounds
7. Carries out treatments and investigations as prescribed by physicians
8. Collaborates and co-operates with physicians and other health-care providers in the smooth delivery of patient care and services
9. Communicates and discusses patients’ progress and response to treatment with physicians, nursing and allied health colleagues involved in the patient care
10. Provides patient/family with information and education on disease prevention, health education and rehabilitation techniques
11. Ensures continuity of patient care and treatment plans through follow-ups
12. Displays compassion, a positive and caring attitude towards patients
13. Adhere to proper use and care of equipment
14. Maintains a clean and safe working environment

1. Supervises and guides nursing students, new joiners, graduated registered nurses and junior staff in their work
2. Participates in clinical and service quality activities
3. Keeping abreast with current nursing and health care practices
4. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by Nursing Management Team

1. Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
2. At least 2 years working experience in acute setting
3. Diploma or Degree in Nursing from recognized training institutions approved by SNB
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills
5. Compassionate, positive and caring nature
6. Possess good clinical skills and knowledge
7. Prepared to work on 3 rotating shifts

Remarks:

1. Comfortable with travelling (attachment to other hospitals for training maybe required)
2. Must be willing to commit to 3 shifts
3. Pediatric & Mental Health Trained in A&E is a must (incumbent must be comfortable to be placed in inpatient ward while waiting for expansion)
4. Eligible for AWS, Bonus and Increment.
5. Shift allowance, On-call / Standby allowance, Call-back allowance and Ward allowance.
6. 5 days’ workweek (including weekends and PH)
7. 3 rotating shifts – staggered hours

o Morning: 8am end between 4pm to 6pm
o Afternoon: start between 11am to 1pm and end between 7pm to 9pm
o Night: 8pm to 8am / 9pm to 9am
