Introduction:

In this role, you will provide technical accounting guidance on the Company’s complex and non-standard transactions.

Your Job:

• Review contracts and proposals for both revenue and non-revenue transactions and provide accounting guidance;
• Prepare documentation and memos supporting the Company’s accounting positions and addressing audit questions;
• Partner with the business to ensure documentation required for financial audit and internal controls compliance is prepared and retained;
• Support execution of monthly financial statement close processes, and support SEC reporting team on policy disclosures on an as-needed basis;
• Execute and document internal controls around applicable financial statement close processes (e.g., contract review);
• Assist with other accounting projects as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Accountancy (or equivalent);
• Minimum 7 years of public accounting or corporate experience required;
• Ability to apply technical accounting guidance to transaction fact patterns to arrive at recommended accounting positions;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Good problem-solving and (accounting) investigative skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant / CPA (preferred).
