Overview

The Senior People Solutions Consultant (PSC) position is a dynamic role within Human Resources that drives the business functions forward in key ways. As part of a team of PSCs, this individual will support and drive enterprise-wide People initiatives by effectively prioritizing project-related work and serving as the first line of support for the PSC team as they pursue their strategically aligned goals. They function as a process and systems change agent while also serving as a resource to middle management and individual contributors on human resources-related issues. This individual works to become a trusted advisor to leaders in the functions that they support and develops the ability to pivot between strategy and tactical execution seamlessly. The Sr PSC is responsible for providing employee relations and other day-to-day support to the People Business Partner to which they report and serves as a thought partner and resource to the rest of the People Support Consultant team. They assess and anticipate People-related needs, influence key stakeholders to drive innovative solutions, and serve as a Center of Excellence (COE) liaison by working to improve efficiency and the employee experience.

What You'll Do

1. Employee Relations:

• Handles and resolves sophisticated employee relations issues by conducting effective, detailed, and objective investigations and facilitates a culture of learning on the PSC Team.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to support group (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation and serves as a resource for the PSC team on more complex issues.

2. HR Initiatives and Project Support:

• Works directly with HRBP Team to prioritize a variety of projects that are crucial to the success of the HR operating model of the future and consistently and proactively shares progress of those projects to key stakeholders in the HR organization.
• Helps to build and upgrade various processes, practices, and policies used by HR and the workforce.
• Works agilely on various project assignments and is comfortable being redeployed based on the team and business’s need.
• Works closely with their end users — employees and managers — and with various COE teams who provide deep HR expertise to help them with their project assignments.
• Understands needs of end-user and the business and can help craft relevant, scalable solutions.
• Analyzes HR trends and metrics in partnership with the broader HR team; develops solutions, programs, and policies based on this data/information.
• Partners with other PSCs, the People Support Team, and other COEs as appropriate to identify and address People process improvements and drive other critical People initiatives as needed.
