Reporting to the VP, Business Optimisation, you are responsible to define Standard Offer Prices (SOP) for Asia North region based on comprehensive market sentiments and supply & demand situation, with the objective of maximizing Borouge profitability. Communicate SOP to the sales teams for different markets and grades across Asia North. Work with stakeholders on price adjustments according to market developments. Able to explain the motivation of SOP set.
Analyse and react to pricing performance above or below market, ensuring that SOP reflects market situations. Engage with Asia North Performance Cell teams (sales, marketing, and supply chain) in order to define pricing strategy for the Asia North Region. Liaise with the central Business Optimization Function and other Borouge regions to ensure roll out of best practices in Asia North region. Support head of strategy & performance, chairman of CMP to verify the compounding pricing and engage the key stakeholders during the pricing setting cycle.
This position is based in Singapore.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop overall pricing strategy for Asia North region with focus on maximizing/optimizing profitability.
Drive price excellence by creating the right infrastructure, actively involving key stakeholders to create informed decision making, and achieve optimum pricing.
Drive price performance by focusing on collection of accurate and current pricing data to be used in Pricing tools and Analytics for performance improvement.
Coordinate with all stakeholders for pricing decisions and prepare final price proposals by assessing overall market situation and internal demand/supply dynamics for approvals as per policy and procedure.
Review and approve/recommend for approval price exceptions (e.g. slow movers, testing).
Lead discussions in monthly and quarterly performance review meetings.
Coordinate all price related communications, including discussions with external agencies (e.g. Platts / ICIS) to capture the best view of the Asia North markets.
Monitor pricing procedure compliance, applying corrective actions when necessary.
Support head of strategy & performance, chairman of CMP to verify the compounding pricing and engage the key stakeholders during the pricing setting cycle.
About You:
Bachelor Degree in Business / Economics / Engineering.
MBA preferred.
Minimum 15 years relevant working experience in petrochemical or similar or related industry.
Working experience in relevant commercial function for at least 10 years.
Excellent Analytical Skills.
Excellent understanding of profit drivers in business.
Good understanding of PO market and products in all Borouge markets.
Ability to drive decisions.
