Job description

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Sports Business Senior Executive to lead wholesale and B2B sales efforts within Singapore. This role is responsible for driving sales revenue and market share growth by managing relationships with local retailers, distributors, Corporate MNC and government agencies. The ideal candidate is an achiever with a strong sales mindset, and has existing contacts with key agencies to increase our chances of securing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with local retailers, distributors, corporate MNC and government agencies and other associations.
  2. Develop and execute account plans, sales strategies, and tactics to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  3. Actively pursue new B2B sales opportunities, nurturing leads and developing relationships within assigned accounts.
  4. Coordinate and manage order processing with the supply chain team to ensure accurate and timely product delivery.
  5. Maintain and update sales pipeline, account statuses, and forecasts in CRM tools.
  6. Organize seasonal product presentations and sell-in sessions for local accounts.
  7. Conduct on-site visits to client locations for sales presentations and product training.
  8. Strengthen customer relationships to ensure continued revenue streams and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  9. Drive business development efforts by pursuing government tender projects and navigating bidding processes.
  10. Utilize affiliations or contacts within government agencies and sports associations to maximize project acquisition potential.
  11. Collaborate with internal teams to execute localized marketing plans with Singapore-based retailers and distributors.
  12. Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions to management.
  13. Stay informed on current industry trends and competitor activities to shape effective sales strategies.
  14. Achieve and exceed net sales targets within the assigned accounts and categories, focusing on driving revenue growth.
  15. Maintain or improve margin targets for product lines, balancing sales growth with profitability.
  16. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for assigned accounts and categories, preventing overstocking or stockouts to meet customer demand and support sales goals.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong knowledge of Singapore’s wholesale and B2B sales environment, particularly in government and sports sectors.
  2. Experience with government tenders and bidding processes would be an added advantage.
  3. Passion for sales and achieving results, with a drive to exceed targets.
  4. Enthusiasm for sports, with knowledge in badminton or running being an advantage.
  5. Proven experience in sales, with a solid understanding of sales cycles and processes.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  7. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to actively listen and respond to customer needs.
  8. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  9. Self-starter with strong commercial awareness, a robust local network, and a goal-oriented mindset.
  10. Willingness to travel locally to client sites as needed.
  11. Industry - Ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG.
