JOB DESCRIPTION

The Speech-Language Therapist provides high quality Speech-Language Therapy / Intervention Programmes to enable children with special needs to reach their maximum potential and enskill staff / caregivers with techniques that will enhance the child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Use data and appropriate assessment tools to identify student therapy needs;
2. Identify and prioritize goals to facilitate individual and group interventions;
3. Formulate and implement relevant student care plans;
4. Complete specialist reports, case notes, and other documentation;
5. Perform appropriate caseload management;
6. Continuously uphold standards of best practice to ensure quality service delivery.

Credentials:

Degree or Post-graduate qualification in Speech & Language Therapy from a recognised University. Must be registered with AHPC.

Core Competencies:

Relevant knowledge & experience in working with children & youth with special needs.
