The Role:

• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individual Transition Plans (ITP) tailored to students' needs.
• Track student progress, assess learning outcomes, and prepare detailed progress reports.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons incorporating the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework.
• Apply effective intervention strategies and positive behavior support techniques to enhance student development.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment within and beyond the classroom.
• Provide guidance and support to Teacher Assistants in instructional methods and classroom management.
• Collaborate with families and the IEP team to support students' learning and transitions.
• Participate in school events, activities, and committees to enhance student engagement.
• Facilitate IEP discussions, case conferences, and curriculum planning to improve educational programs.
• Attend staff meetings, case discussions, home visits, and relevant professional development training.
• Manage classroom administration, committee duties, and ensure timely submission of documentation.

What Are We Looking For?

• Diploma in Special Education (DISE) from NIE (Trained Teacher) or Certificate in Special Education (Untrained Teacher).
• At least one year of experience in a special needs education setting.
• Passionate about empowering individuals with special needs.
• Strong ability to implement intervention strategies and positive behavior support techniques.
• Experience in curriculum planning and lesson delivery using the UDL framework.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educators.
• Adaptable and creative in creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
• Strong classroom management and administrative skills.

Working Hours: Office Hours
Locations: Bedok
Salary Range: $3,500 - $5,000 + AWS
Age Group to Handle: 7 – 18 years old
