Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

As our Solutions Architect, you play a crucial role in shaping our IT landscape. You report to the Head of IT Department and your responsibility is to design and implement IT solutions that align with our business needs while ensuring they are technically sound and scalable. With your in-depth knowledge of system architecture and cloud technologies, you lead cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions that support our company’s goals. Your expertise continues to be vital in driving innovation, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance and security within our IT environment. You will also guide the system analyst in their system analysis and design during projects and/or enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive technical solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective, tailored to business requirements.
• Work closely with our development, infrastructure, and operations teams to guide the implementation of these solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Assess new technologies and software tools to recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Develop cloud-based architectures using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Keep detailed documentation of architectural designs to ensure clarity and smooth implementation.
• Identify system bottlenecks and suggest enhancements to optimize overall performance.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for security.
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT architecture, focusing on systems integration, cloud solutions, systems design and software development.
• Hands-on experience in building applications from stretch or ground zero.

• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, React, Vue or C#.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API integration.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes containerization.
  • Understanding of databases (SQL/PostgreSQL/NoSQL), networking, and security principles.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient solutions using Outsystems platform and knowledgeable in Outsystems microservices architecture.

• Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Having certifications like Outsystems Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect is a big plus.
