Sioux in Singapore

Sioux Singapore plays a pivotal role in the Asian market by offering R&D services from our centers across Europe and Asia to customers, leading development teams in Asia, from Singapore. This expansion allows us to meet the changing needs of our domestic and international (OEM) customers in the semiconductor, analytical, and medical industries.

The Role

Your role will involve developing equipment control software to support customers in the mentioned domains. Your responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with architects to define product architecture in your domain.
2. Analyzing customer needs in software requirement engineering.
3. Analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing the control software.
4. Conducting peer reviews to ensure product quality.
5. Leading the small development team and ensuring team performance.
6. Working as an integral part of a scrum team and handling user stories across the full stack.
7. Developing functionality using Agile practices, emphasizing speed and quality.
8. Leadership roles for higher positions.

The Job Scope

Develop testable quality code in C# for the following machine control functionalities:

1. WPF and WinForm UI development.
2. Machine Control and Sequencing.
3. Hardware abstraction layer.
4. Subsystem/device communication and control.
5. System calibration and positional error measurement and compensation.
6. SECS/GEM functionalities.

Qualifications and Experience

1. A technical background with a higher professional or university education.
2. Ideally, a background in the semiconductor, analytical, or medical domain.
3. Experience in developing equipment control applications, including working with PC-based control, embedded controller, or motion controller.
4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in C# in object-oriented programming.
5. Technical Lead/Designer role requires a minimum of 2 years in object-oriented analysis and design with common design patterns.
6. Technical role requires a minimum of 2 years leading Scrum development teams with requirement engineering, Sprints management, and technical design reviews.

Desirable Skillset

1. Able to handle complex software solutions.
2. Experience with C# Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and programming.
3. Experience with C# WPF, MVVM framework.
4. Experience with C# NUnit unit test framework.
5. Worked with Agile Scrum and Kanban teams.
6. Worked with git workflow with online repositories like Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, etc.
7. Worked with git tools like SourceTree, TortoiseGit, GitKraken, Fork, etc.
8. Worked with Continuous Integration tools.

Desirable Soft Skill

1. A preference for autonomy and responsibility in organizing your work.
2. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team.
3. For Senior positions, good leadership skills to lead a small team of 3-8 developers.
