Software Engineer (Golang)

Morgan McKinley is looking for a skilled Golang Software Engineer! This role is for a 12 months contract with our multinational client in the tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Golang.

• Modernize the existing legacy lending platform with a focus on platformization, scalability, extensibility, and testability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage ambiguity, and drive projects throughout their lifecycle.

• Coordinate with vendors to integrate their services with the company's lending platform.

• Partner with cross-functional teams—including product and business units—to influence technical direction and define product features.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent.

• 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience developing distributed systems that deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

• At least 2 years of practical experience in Golang, along with strong knowledge of technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s), Redis, Aerospike, and MySQL.

• Proven experience deploying applications in cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.

• Solid background in the lending domain, particularly in developing core lending systems and integrating with third-party platforms like Mambu or similar LMS solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with product and business teams to guide technical decisions and shape feature development.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
