Software Engineer | 3 Year Contract (JO-25869)

Job Description

- Work closely as part of the development team to design, develop and maintain the software.
- Collaborate with the Governance, Risk and Compliance teams to address security gaps, conduct audits, and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure the system is secure, efficient, and compliant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical teams to ensure software quality by performing/assisting activities in DSTA Software Quality Assurance and Testing Framework.
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to project planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and solve complex problems.

Specific Requirements

1. Possess a Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years of experience in software development and support.
3. Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (preferably completed 2 software development life cycle projects with integration to other systems).
4. Experience in Agile Methodologies and implementation.
5. Good foundational knowledge of information technologies in the following areas:

• Database Technologies
• Web Application Technologies
• Integration Technologies
• Cybersecurity
