Summary of the position/scope of work:
We are seeking a talented Software and Applications Manager to join our dynamic Capital Market Department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing mission critical pre-trading and risk applications teams. You will lead and develop a global team of application analyst programmers and support analysts, ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of production systems used by CACIB traders and risk managers across the globe. Beyond day-to-day operations, you will drive strategic initiatives focused on automations, operational resilience, and process optimization across the department. You will own the development and adaption of bespoke automation systems, leveraging your expertise in Python, .Net, SQL, PowerShell, Unix, ControlM, ELK, etc. As a manager, you will ensure the proper functioning of the team, promote continuous improvement, cooperation, and autonomy. You oversee removing obstacles from the team roadmap and will be the main point of contact for the Product Owners and Business users. You will oversee and support the team in achieving its objectives regarding both automation delivery of software libraries and its production stability within the organization.
Scope of duties:
As the team head of RAOP/AOP sub-division, you will lead two dynamic operations teams and automation projects across different critical functional areas.
Support Lead Role
Oversee the day-to-day operations of supported applications, ensuring they function smoothly and efficiently. Steer daily production status by ensuring Incident/ Request/ Problem management processes are well applied as per ITIL standards of the Bank.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and work on long-term solutions to prevent recurrence as part of the Problem Management Process. Manage shifts, on-call coverage, and support during weekends and special business activities. Oversee change management processes, ensuring application releases are done smoothly. Responsible for DRP / BCP exercise execution and success. Regularly review/audit system performance, application usage, and capacity to ensure optimal resource allocation. Anticipate future application needs and proactively recommend solutions to handle growing volumes of data or users.
Serve as the point of contact for escalated or Major Incidents by coordinating with internal teams or vendors as necessary to resolve issues while ensuring communication and resolution efficiency.
