Social Work Associate (CREST) (REACH Counselling & Mental Health)

The Community Resource, Engagement and Support Team (CREST) of REACH Community Services serves as a first mental health touchpoint in the community. We focus on raising public awareness of mental health conditions and dementia, promote early recognition of at-risk individuals, provide emotional support to individuals and their caregivers, and link individuals to relevant health and social care services when necessary. Actively, we conduct outreach events/activities to promote mental health awareness and identify and support those with mental health needs and their caregivers.

The Social Work Associate provides the team with daily administrative and operational support for the purpose of CREST service development and implementation. You will attend to all enquiries (phone, walk-in), organize the logistics and resources to ensure the smooth running of CREST services. You may also be involved in coordinating outreach events and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide administrative and logistical support to the team in running client-related support and/or other CREST activities.
2. Assist Social Workers in client monitoring, care coordination, and follow-up.
3. Manage data collation, report generation, and ensure compliance with data protection guidelines.
4. Support the team in planning and executing outreach events, screenings, and client-related activities.
5. Collaborate with community partners and agencies.
6. Conduct client screenings, provide basic emotional support to clients, and promote mental health awareness.
7. Prepare resource materials for clients and caregivers.

Requirements:

1. Possess a diploma certification or relevant social service certification.
2. Non-diploma holders with social service experience will be considered.
3. Conversant in English and the ability to speak dialect or Malay will be a bonus.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Passionate about working in the mental health sector and community service sector.
6. Outgoing and sociable personality with a keen interest in working with people on a one-to-one basis or in centre-based group activities.
7. A well-organized, meticulous team player who can also work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2,570.00 - $3,230.00 per month
