Social Media Manager

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our growing team at Storyteller Productions. In this role, you will be overseeing all aspects of our social media platforms, ensuring that we’re engaging, growing, and inspiring our online community. You will work closely with the Creative Director and the production team to create compelling, brand-aligned content that resonates with our target audience. We need someone independent, motivated, and skilled in creating social media content from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the social media content production needs of the company from pre-production to post-production.
2. Develop creative ideas for content and both the company's and clients' social media campaigns.
3. Ensure that the content strategy for the company’s social media platforms is coherent and impactful.
4. Create and manage the social media calendar to ensure well-planned, optimized, and varied posts.
5. Interact with the public, clients, and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts promptly.
6. Create, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
7. Create content independently when needed, including shooting, recording, and editing.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience and capability as a Social Media Manager or similar role (3+ years preferred).
2. Strong understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write compelling content.
4. Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual content.
5. Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
6. Experience with paid social advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
7. Able to shoot and edit videos and photos for social media; video editing and graphic design skills are a huge plus (e.g. using professional software such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Canva, etc.).
8. Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
11. A passion for staying on top of social media trends.
