As a Social Media Executive, you’ll help the strategy and direction of our Social Media, Content and Creator Marketing capabilities and influence media boosting on these owned and earned channels. You’ll direct, design, implement and monitor effective social media content, and identify relevant key opinion leaders and content creators approaches for both Singapore-first and regional marketing communication activities. You’re our culture vulture, with your hands on the pulse of social media, content and entertainment trends to guide how we think, act and say across a variety of locally relevant topics and categories.
As part of the McCann Content Studios team, you will be part of a team of editorial thinkers, creating content and turning complex information or jargon into digestible consumer-friendly copy. You’ll help us create social and influence-first communications that builds movements, shift perceptions, rally communities and generate persistent advocacy & brand affinity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build social media content plans and editorial approaches across platforms aligned to client objectives, KPIs, brand personality and creative identity.
- Contribute understanding of consumer behaviour in broader culture, latest social media trends (platforms, social data, consumption patterns) towards integrated marketing communications campaigns together with creatives, account team and other strategic discipline specialists.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of social platforms and how to maximise their potential for reaching and engaging with a variety of audience segments across diverse topics.
- Provide understanding of media channels and where social needs support/boosting (experience with media planning is a nice-to-have).
- Provide in-depth knowledge of the influence marketing landscape and key trends across platforms, at a local and international level.
- Identify, implement and utilise social listening tools to generate insight (experience with social listening tools is essential).
- Identify, implement and utilise social media management and publishing tools (experience with social media management and publishing tools is ideal).
- Responsible for always-on social content curation and creation efforts, from research and ideation to final expression together with the McCann Content Studios team.
- Devise, implement and optimise KOL and content creator-led campaigns, including identification, outreach, recruitment and management of potential creators and influencers, identify and analyse KPIs, developing processes to grow our influence marketing offering.
- Measure and analyse performance across social media properties, to translate insights into strategies.
- Plan and optimise executions of paid social media campaigns, together with creative, account and partner media agencies.
- Establish resources, educate clients and internal teams on best practices, develop customised strategies based on data, and optimise overall social and influencer performance across clients.

What we’re looking out for:
- Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in Social Media, Content, publishing or media, ideally in a creative or media agency/media publisher environment.
- Affinity, experience and passion for handling social media channels, creating social media content and driving measurement efforts for social and/or influencer programs including calculating benchmarks and analysing performance.
- Experience working with influencers on new and/or emerging platforms.
- A keen interest in cultural and social trends, particularly for Singapore’s social and content landscape. Always connected to culture and obsessed with all things pop culture and local current affairs.
- Strong hands-on mindset; Entrepreneurial and experimental in evolving the role of social and content creation in marketing and communications including exploring and embracing new technologies in data, insights and platforms.
- Sharp communicator and presenter - verbally, visually and in writing.
- Self-motivated and self-starting personality.
- Being calm under pressure and with a capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in organic and paid social media.
- Manage, track, and report on performance, using learnings to optimize future creative opportunities. Ability to assess key learnings from campaigns and incorporate them into your next work.
- Excellent client management, presentation and writing skills.
- Flawless project and time management skills.
- Extremely detail and process-oriented, comfortable with rigorous agency and client financial processes.
- Flexible to changes and used to handling multiple projects and accounts at the same time.
