The SPH Chinese Media Group is looking for a Social Media Content Producer to create content for Lianhe Zaobao’s (ZB) social media platforms for a short-term project. You should be well-versed in the latest social media trends and the various platforms including, but not limited to, WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. You are expected to:

1. Produce engaging original content such as social posts and short videos for social media platforms on a daily basis.
2. Re-adapt existing ZB content to suitable forms to engage audiences on social media platforms.
3. Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, and have a good understanding of content that will appeal to the audiences on the various social media platforms.
4. Adhere to and implement social media best practices when applicable.
5. Cultivate strong, positive, and engaging relationships with social media audiences.
6. Monitor social media reach and engagement metrics on analytics platforms and extract actionable insights from them.

Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in a relevant field of study such as Mass Media, Communications, Public Relations, Chinese studies, etc.; at least 1 year of relevant working experience as a digital content creator.
2. Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese as this role focuses on a Chinese-speaking audience.
3. Passionate about current affairs.
4. Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Xiaohongshu would be advantageous.
5. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various stakeholders.
