One of our MNC clients is looking for an SMB Marketing Manager who can handle both the Japan and Asia Pacific region market.
※ This position will be a 12-month contract but there is a possibility of a permanent contract based on performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The SMB Marketing Manager for Japan and Southeast Asia will play a crucial role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies tailored for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The role involves creating impactful campaigns, managing cross-functional projects, and driving engagement through various channels, including events, content, and digital media.
You will have exposure and visibility to the client’s Sales, Product, Finance & Market Insights teams as you work with them to create a holistic solution to Marketing problems.
Strategic Development:
- Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies to expand our SMB business in Japan and Southeast Asia.
- Identify key market opportunities and tailor strategies to address the unique needs of SMBs in these regions.
Campaign Management:
- Plan and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition among SMBs.
- Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling content, including digital ads, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, product, and customer support teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistent messaging and execution across different markets.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Organize and manage events, webinars, and trade shows to engage with SMBs and build brand presence in Japan and Southeast Asia.
- Develop event content and materials that resonate with the target audience and drive participation.
Content Creation and Website Management:
- Create and oversee the production of high-quality content, including case studies, success stories, and web copy.
- Manage and optimize the website to ensure it effectively communicates our value proposition to SMBs and supports lead generation.
Media and Digital Strategy:
- Develop campaigns including digital advertising, social media campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategies.
- Analyze media performance and adjust strategies to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Prepare regular reports on campaign effectiveness and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Japanese: Equivalent to JLPT N1 or native-level fluency (for effective communication and coordination with Japanese counterparts and clients).
- 10+ years of experience in either of the following:
- Marketing, with a focus on SMBs
- Experience in payments or e-commerce
- Proven expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies, managing cross-functional projects, and driving results
- Strong understanding of SMB dynamics in Japan and Southeast Asia.
- Experience with event management, content creation, website optimization, and media planning.
- Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Working days: Monday - Friday with work from home arrangement (Every Monday and Friday will be WFH).
- Salary Range: 10,000 - 18,000 SGD + VB.
