What you’ll do

The role responsibilities include:

• Provide full-time stand-in site supervision for SPPG Extra High Voltage cable transmission project related to excavation, shoring, earth retaining, establish structures, temporary traffic diversion work, cable pulling & jointing activities, cable tray installation, electrical testing and commissioning, safety and health control measures.
• Ensure compliance with all engineering plans/drawings, method statements, Risk Assessments, and technical specifications.
• Attend/Conduct daily site toolbox meetings and site safety workshops.
• Prepare daily/shift progress reports as per SPPG requirements for the project.
• Report any non-compliance to the project engineer.
• Coordinate with contractors for project site implementation.
• Ensure site compliance with government health and safety policies.
• Ensure that contractors and their subcontractors comply with SPPG’s safety requirements.
• Submit weekly timesheets.

What you’ll have

• The Site Technical Officer (STO) shall have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in projects similar in nature to the works.
• The STO shall have an Electrical & Civil Diploma or relevant experience.
• Experience in the following areas will be an additional advantage:
• Have site supervision experiences of contractor works for SPPG 66kV, 230kV, and 400kV cable projects.
• Familiarity with civil temporary shoring design.
• Obtained MOM safety training certificate.
