Site Reliability Engineer

Your role:

We offer you an exciting SME role in our Singapore based SRE team where you will have a combination of production responsibilities and hands-on DevOps deliveries.

• Gain a strong technical and business focused understanding of UBS Wealth Management CRM environment
• Manage the relationship with the development teams and self-drive the SRE driven toil elimination and tooling initiatives
• Manage the CRM systems regionally, from dev environment to production
• Crisis/Incident Management, escalating with appropriate urgency. Ensuring team follow the prescribed incident & problem management
• Identify and drive efficiencies in support and development tasks, enabling all teams to be more effective.
• Grow the internally built operation tool (JavaScript/Python) to reduce toil or shift left procedural tasks
• Drive a best-in-class Observability platform leveraging the Grafana stack
• Work with development managers to reduce the support profile of existing applications and help design and deliver more stable solutions. Drive the resolution of recurring issues at a systemic level

You’ll be working in the Client Service Data Crew (Stream Be a Client of UBS) in Singapore. We provide an agile working environment with training and exposure to a wide range of the latest technology and development tools. As a Java Software Engineer, you’ll play an important role in ensuring UBS requirements. As part of the Client Service Data Crew (Stream Be a Client of UBS), our teams design, deliver and operates of-the-art systems that offer best-in-class services to the bank’s clients.

Your expertise:

Contribute to provide a state-of-the-art CI/CD toolchain for modern software engineering, which is part of our DevOps platform. Help to support our agile programs and software engineering teams to efficiently delivery valuable and high-quality solutions and changes to our business.

The appropriate candidate delivers the following profile:

• Strong exposure on Core Java, Spring, Spring boot, REST APIs and Microservices
• Experience with enterprise integration and messaging related technologies such as JMS, MQ and/or Kafka
• DevOps mindset. We believe in DevOps and DevOps by developers. If you share the same passion, it is a good add-on
• Interests in monitoring, support technologies such as, AppDynamics, Splunk is an added advantage
• Deep understanding of all aspects of application development and SDLC methodologies – agile & waterfall
• Agile, Test Driven Development and DevOps practices part of your DNA
• Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• Ensure compliance with the defined standards and guidelines by the agile programs and software engineering teams when using the CI/CD toolchain and services
