Site Manager

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

1. Assists Project Manager to execute project effectively and mitigates risk.
2. Oversees project engineers & supervisors to ensure client & regulatory requirements are met.
3. Carries out short-term planning to meet site progress.
4. Coordinates, programs, and monitors site work & materials.
5. Controls the allocation of the direct workforce effectively.
6. Resolves site issues with subcontractors.
7. Implements project objectives to align with company goals.

Project Budget Control

1. Controls material wastages on site.
2. Controls the usage of machineries/equipments/utilities on site.
3. Controls direct labour costs i.e. number of direct workers and overtime.
4. Meets targeted progress of works to achieve the intended cash flow.

Technical Understanding

1. Understands the drawings and can identify discrepancies.
2. Understands the implications of different technical choices to meet the Project Manager’s objectives.
3. Involved in providing value engineering solutions.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

Leadership

1. Leads subordinates to achieve excellence in the project.
2. Assists the Project Manager to manage changes within the project team effectively.

Teamwork

1. Reinforces the team including sub-contractors cohesively on internal initiatives.
2. Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization.

Client Management

1. Communicates effectively with consultants to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions (Quality).
2. Ensures practice delivers superior solutions (Quality) towards the project.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

1. For Singaporeans only
2. Degree in Civil Engineering / MEP or equivalent.
3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction sector.
4. Preferably with full cycle of HDB project experience.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
