Site Engineer

Job Description & Requirements:

1. Review civil & structural working drawings and shop drawings in connection with SEM and steel structure shop drawings during the pre-construction phase to prepare construction methods, identify risks, and promote strategies and alternative methodologies to mitigate them.
2. Organize regular meetings with the subcontractor's technical teams to resolve technical problems in the pre-construction and construction phases.
3. Work closely with the design team and LTA/QPS (client) to resolve execution issues with appropriate functional proposals aided by presentations or sketches.
4. Prepare method statements for construction work, including risk assessments (RA) and safe work procedures (SWP).
5. Prepare RFIs for site inspections for construction, MPI tests, welding works, and post-concrete works, and be involved in site inspections with the QP.
6. Review rebar BBS prepared by subcontractors in compliance with standards and shop drawings for roof slabs, steel structures, and corbel details for precast installation.
7. Supervise the construction of structures such as pile caps, underground tanks, base slabs, columns (~12m high) including corbels, RC beams, capping beams, RC and PC beam connections, ramps, steel and RC struts, hanging sumps, and staircases.
8. Review and supervise surface water drain and waterproofing shop drawings and site work.
9. Assist the construction manager in planning and preparing daily progress reports.
10. Track and optimize manpower for each task.
11. Prepare conceptual drawings for steel decking or other temporary structures required on site and review shop drawings submitted by subcontractors while supervising site installation.
12. Review concept drawings and supervise the installation of bracing connections between permanent plunge-in-columns for top-down column construction.
13. Review subcontractors' shop drawings for steel struts and supervise installation work.
