Site Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. The engineer may be assigned to Technical team or Operation team, the relevant responsibilities apply.
2. Assist C&S Lead.
3. Lead site coordination relating to structural works of the project.
4. In charge of submission of shop drawings, material details, and MOS related to structural works.
5. Maintain drawing registry and ensure latest drawings/BIM models are available for all parties involved (site staff, CTD, suppliers, and subcontractors).
6. Issue transmittal forms/emails for latest drawings/BIM models when issued to CTD, suppliers, and subcontractors.
7. Study drawings/specifications to identify discrepancies and issue queries to consultants accordingly via RFI.
8. Ensure BIM team updates the drawings/BIM Model with the latest information available timely.
9. Prepare as-built drawings/BIM Model and compile O&M Manual for submission.
10. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and PE design.
11. Plan structural works and prepare micro schedules.
12. Manage subcontractors to ensure quality and scope of work is as per drawings, specifications, and design.
13. Conduct pre-inspection with subcontractors prior to calling for RE/RTO inspections.
14. Liaise with RE/RTO for necessary inspections.
15. Responsible for all structural inspection activities on site.
16. Coordinate the structural works with other disciplines.
17. Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers, testing labs, etc.
18. Coordinate and monitor material testing.
19. Implement quality control measures for structural works and ensure in-process Quality Control measures are in place.
20. Procure and monitor structure-related materials.
21. Monitor and control rebar and concrete usage on site.
22. Monitor and control material wastage.
23. Identify and record events and activities including but not limited to events that may lead to variations.
24. Prepare and issue back charges promptly.
25. Ensure work activities are carried out in a safe working environment.
26. Update structural progress promptly.
27. In charge of structural matters related to CONQUAS assessments/submissions.
28. Upon completion of structural works, assume roles in Architectural works, External Works, M&E works as directed by the PM.
29. Attend client, consultants, and sub-con meetings as requested by PM. Take minutes of meetings.
30. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor/management.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognized by the PE Board.
2. A minimum of 3 years experience in a HDB BTO project
3. Able to manage a group of supervisors.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and knowledge of BIM.
