Shipping Executive

Responsibilities:

• Booking of shipments with internal freight forwarding division.
• Liaise closely with the customer service on the actual cargo volume requirement.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations for transfer of cargo.
• Confirmation of shipping documents, cross-check Bill of Lading with overseas agent.
• Pre-alert of shipment and liaising of shipment issue with overseas agent.
• Update of shipping data to the in-house system.
• Performing issuing of invoices of shipments upon receiving confirmation of billing charges and costing.
• Handled end to end shipping procedure including bank co-ordination, L/C checking and complete documentation & coordination with bank etc.
• Help negotiate and secure shipments by coordinating with ship owners, brokers, and other relevant parties.
• Assist the Freight Manager with daily operations, including post-fixture activities and documentation.
• Handle full-set of shipping documents, B/L, commercial invoice, packing list and etc.
• Track the shipping market and collect pertinent data to support decision-making.
• Monitor and co-ordinate with carriers/freight forwarders for booking and shipment delivery.
• Perform booking and process documentation, as well as co-ordinate with various internal departments on shipping activities.
• Monitor and co-ordinate with local customers/transporters on deliveries of cargoes.
• Liaise with customers on all shipment related activities.
• Reviewing and sourcing shipment services.
• Doing inwards and outwards permit.
Perform issuing of other invoices, manage filing and ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least a Diploma in Logistics or A Level certification.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience handling import & export shipping documentation.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
