Ship Finance Executive [Financial Modelling]

Our client plays a key role as the finance & treasury centre for their group companies under a Japanese-based MNC in the shipping/logistics industry.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in vessel financing, including drafting proposals, negotiating terms, gathering due diligence, and reviewing legal contracts.
2. Prepare presentations and papers for internal decision-making and senior management or Board approvals.
3. Support the implementation of hedging strategies to mitigate risks related to interest rates and foreign exchange.
4. Help track and monitor covenants for secured credit facilities with affiliate companies.
5. Participate in due diligence, investment evaluation, and M&A projects using valuation techniques to determine purchase prices.

Requirements

1. Possess 1 to 3 years of ship financing/asset-backed financing experience preferably in a corporate banking environment or the shipping industry.
2. Candidates with corporate finance or investment banking experience with exposure handling shipping industry deals will be considered too.
3. Minimally a Diploma in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or the equivalent.
4. Great proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel.
5. Candidates with proficiency in reviewing/interpreting legal contracts would have an added advantage.
