Shift Technician

Responsibilities:

• Operate the process to meet the conditions specified in manuals/instructions.
• Operate the process equipment at site in accordance with the operation plan.
• Take measures to improve production status and equipment performance on productivity and quality after approval of shift senior technician.
• Patrol plant process, confirm the condition of process and equipment, and report disordered matters to senior shift technicians.
• Prepare and organize patrol records.
• Take samples for analysis of products and process evaluation.
• Report all incidents, near misses, deviations from plan, and take part in further investigation when required.
• Assist in coordination of daily maintenance planning, and participate in maintenance activities and shutdown/start-up of sections.
• Provide support for maintenance group/quality control group if any problem arises.
• Perform the role as an auxiliary fire fighter.

Requirements:

• Diploma or NITEC in Chemical Engineering or any equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a chemical plant.
• Experience in polymerization unit and extrusion unit or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant such as compounding or extrusion is advantageous.
• Possess basic knowledge of maintenance, chemical engineering, and analytical procedures.
• Experience in operation via DCS systems is advantageous.
• An effective team player with good communication skills.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift duties.
