Shift Technician

Job Responsibilities:

1. Operate the process to meet the conditions specified in manuals/instructions.
2. Operate the process equipments at site in accordance with operation plan.
3. Take measures to improve production status and equipment performance on productivity and quality after approval of shift senior technician.
4. Patrol plant process, confirm the condition of process and equipments and report disordered matter to senior shift technicians.
5. Prepare and organise patrol records.
6. Take a sampling for analysis of products and process evaluation.
7. Report all incidents, near misses, deviations from plan and take part in further investigation when required.
8. Assist in coordination of daily maintenance planning, and participate in maintenance activities and shutdown/start-up of sections.
9. Provide support for maintenance group/quality control group, if any problem arises.
10. Perform the role as an auxiliary fire fighter.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or NITEC in Chemical engineering or any equivalent discipline.
2. Minimum 3 years experience in a chemical plant.
3. Experience in polymerization unit and extrusion unit or a minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing plant such as compounding or extrusion is advantageous.
4. Possess basic knowledge of maintenance, chemical engineering and analytical procedures.
5. Experience in operation via DCS systems is advantageous.
6. An effective team player with good communication skills.
7. Able to perform 12 hours rotating shift duties.
