Settlement Team Lead - Ethel T.

Our client, a leading bank, is seeking a dynamic Settlement Team Lead to oversee settlement operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage settlement operations for Treasury and Wealth Management products, including FX, fixed income, structured products, and investments.
2. Lead a team responsible for processing, reconciling, and verifying settlements in line with internal controls and regulatory standards.
3. Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily trade settlements and confirmations.
4. Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies and exceptions promptly.
5. Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing robust control measures.
6. Liaise with counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve trade issues.
7. Prepare reports for management on settlement activities, risk events, and operational performance.
8. Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and control.
9. Keep updated on regulatory changes impacting settlement operations.

Key Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
2. 10+ years of settlement experience in Treasury and/or Wealth Management products, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Strong understanding of financial instruments and settlement processes, including SWIFT, custodial relationships, and trade lifecycles.
4. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to trade settlements.
