Job description

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Service Sales Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities for repairs, maintenance, and service jobs in the offshore and hydraulics industries. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the industry, a strong sales background, and a proven track record of successfully expanding service portfolios. This individual will play a key role in driving business growth and strengthening relationships with clients, ensuring the company’s continued success in offshore and hydraulic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:Identify and generate new business opportunities within the offshore and hydraulics sectors, including but not limited to repairs, maintenance, and service contracts.
    Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by targeting key accounts, prospects, and new market segments.
    Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business avenues to expand service offerings.
    Build strong relationships with existing clients, enhancing customer satisfaction and promoting the company’s services.
  2. Sales Strategy & Execution:Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets for the service division.
    Promote the company’s service offerings (including offshore repairs, maintenance, and hydraulic solutions) to a broad customer base.
    Negotiate service contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
    Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to develop tailored service solutions for clients.
  3. Client Relationship Management:Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the offshore and hydraulics sectors.
    Serve as the primary point of contact for all service-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
    Regularly engage with customers to assess their ongoing needs, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  4. Market Intelligence & Reporting:Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and regulatory changes to better inform sales efforts.
    Provide detailed market intelligence to the management team to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
    Track and report sales performance, including KPIs, pipeline status, and forecasts.
  5. Collaboration:Work closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that align with service offerings.
    Assist in pricing strategy development and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field (preferred).
    Additional certifications in sales or industry-specific programs are a plus.
  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales or business development role within the offshore, hydraulics, or related industries.
    Proven track record in selling repair, maintenance, and service contracts in industrial sectors.
    Strong understanding of offshore operations, hydraulic systems, and related technologies.
  • Skills:Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
    Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
